FAQ
-
Do I have to leave my dog with you for training?Yes, at Red Pine Canine, we believe that immersion is the key to achieving the best results in dog training for our specialty. When your dog stays with us, they are immersed in a structured environment that will help them understand the rules and boundaries of their new training. This also allows us to give them the attention and consistency they need to make progress and learn successfully. Rest assured that your dog will be given the utmost care and attention during their stay with us.
-
Does my dog need to be vaccinated?Yes! We require all puppies and dogs coming into our program to be up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. This is to protect not only the other dogs in our program, but yours too! Rest assured that we will always provide a safe and healthy environment for your dog.
-
Will I receive updates on my dog's progress during training?Yes! As a dedicated dog trainer, I understand the importance of keeping you informed on your furry friend's progress. That's why I provide daily videos and photos to you. You can expect to receive clips of their training sessions along with updates on how they are progressing throughout their time with me. This way, you can stay connected with your dog and be confident in their progress.
-
What is board and train?Board and train is a training program where your dog stays in the home of a professional trainer, like Red Pine Canine, for a predetermined amount of time. During their stay, your dog will receive daily training sessions to work on obedience, behavior modification, and other skills. This program allows your dog to learn faster and with more consistency as they receive constant training throughout the day and week. It's a great option for busy dog owners who may not have the time or experience to train their pets themselves.
-
Can I schedule training while I'm on vacation?Yes! This is actually quite common and many of our clients choose to enroll their dogs in our board and train program while they're away on vacation. This provides the added benefit of both boarding your dog while you're away and ensuring they receive valuable training during their stay with us. We understand how important it is to have a well-trained dog, and we want to make sure you can enjoy your vacation with peace of mind knowing your furry friend is in good hands. Please contact us to learn more about our board and train program and to schedule your dog's training while you're away.

What do I need to send with my dog?All you need to bring is your dog, their leash and collar, and their food! We provide the rest, including treats, water and food dishes, crate, and a variety of toys. You are welcome to bring any comfort items for them (such as a human worn t-shirt or toy they love), but due to the risk of dogs chewing and potentially consuming beds, we ask that you leave any stuffed doggy beds at home!

How often are training sessions? At Red Pine Canine, we understand that every dog is unique and has different learning speeds. Thus, our training program is tailored to each dog's individual needs. During the training program, your dog will be trained daily. However, the number and length of training sessions per day will depend on your dog's progress and how they respond to the training. Our primary objective is to ensure that your dog receives the best possible training experience, and we will customize the program to suit your dog's individual requirements. If you have additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us, and we will be more than happy to help you.
